1Cancelling
- Cancel whenever you like from Settings → Billing. It takes a few seconds and there’s nobody to argue with.
- After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. It then stops, and you aren’t charged again.
- Your projects stay in your account on the free tier, so you can come back to them.
2The 14-day refund
If ScreenMake isn’t right for you, we refund your first payment for a plan in full when both of these are true:
- you ask within 14 days of that payment; and
- you’ve used no more than 20% of that month’s plan AI credits.
This applies once per customer, to the first payment for a monthly or a yearly plan.
When a payment is refunded the plan ends, and the AI credits that came with it are removed.
3What isn’t refundable
- Renewals. We don’t refund a renewal payment or part-used periods, so cancel before the renewal date if you don’t want another period.
- A first payment after 14 days, or once more than 20% of that month’s plan credits have been spent.
- AI credit packs, once any of the pack’s credits have been spent. An untouched pack is refundable within 14 days.
- Accounts closed for breaking our terms.
4When something goes wrong on our side
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the service was seriously unavailable, tell us and we’ll put it right, whatever the dates above say.
An AI tool that fails doesn’t cost you credits: they come back automatically. If you think credits were taken wrongly, write to us and we’ll check and restore them.
5Your legal rights
If you’re a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel a digital service within 14 days of buying it. By starting to use a paid plan straight away you ask us to begin the service during that period; if you then cancel within the 14 days, the law allows us to keep an amount for what you’ve used. The refund rule above is how we apply that, and it never gives you less than the law does.
Nothing here affects your rights if a service isn’t as described or isn’t provided with reasonable care and skill.
6How to ask
- Email support@screenmake.com from the address on your account and say you’d like a refund. You don’t need to give a reason.
- We answer within two working days.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, which handles our payments. Banks usually show them within 5 to 10 working days.
- Please ask us before raising a dispute with your bank: a refund from us is faster, and a dispute pauses the account while it’s open.
