What we collect when you use ScreenMake, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

1Who is responsible

ScreenMake is run by PRO CODE SERVICES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15485859), with its registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, England, HR5 3DJ. We are the “controller” of the personal data described here, under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

For anything about your data, write to support@screenmake.com.

2What we collect

  • Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.
  • Your work: projects, the app screenshots and images you upload, your text and translations, and the designs you make.
  • AI tools: the instructions you type or dictate, the images you attach, and the results. Dictation sends your recording to be turned into text.
  • Your app: the name, category and public store listing of an app you choose during setup.
  • App Store Connect: if you connect it, your API key (stored encrypted) and the list of apps it can reach.
  • Billing: your plan, payment history and credit balance. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Usage: which onboarding steps you complete, which paid features you open, and billing events, so we can see what works and fix what doesn’t. This is first-party; we run no advertising trackers.
  • Website analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies on our website, the pages you visit, how you got there, your device and browser type, and how you move through the pages, through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We never run them inside the Studio, where your designs are.
  • Technical: IP address, browser type and request logs, kept briefly for security and to prevent abuse.
  • Partners: if you join the partner program, your name or channel, the links to where you publish, audience size, country, niche, and the email you’re paid at.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through the help center, and our replies.

3Why we use it

The law asks us to say what entitles us to use your data. For each purpose:

  • To run ScreenMake for you: your account, projects, AI tools, exports and publishing. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
  • To take payment, apply credits and handle refunds. Contract, and our legal duty to keep financial records.
  • To keep the service safe, stop abuse and enforce the plan limits. Our legitimate interest in a secure, fair service.
  • To understand how ScreenMake is used and improve it. Our legitimate interest for first-party usage records; your consent for website analytics cookies.
  • To send service emails: sign-in links, receipts, and important changes. Contract.
  • To run the partner program: attributing customers, working out commissions and paying partners. Contract with the partner, and our legitimate interest in attributing a referral.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t use your content to train AI models.

4Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run ScreenMake, each under a contract that limits them to our instructions:

  • Supabase: sign-in, the database and file storage.
  • Cloudflare: storage and delivery of images and library assets.
  • Stripe: payments, tax and invoices, as the seller of record. Stripe is also a controller of the payment data it collects.
  • Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, and Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Microsoft: Clarity, if you accept analytics cookies. It records how pages are used, with text you type masked.
  • AI service providers: they receive the instruction, and any image or recording, for the tool you run, in order to return the result. We use them under terms that don’t allow training on your content. A current list is available on request.
  • Apple: when you connect App Store Connect, we send your screenshots and text to your own Apple account at your instruction.
  • PayPal or Wise: to pay partners.
  • A hosting provider that runs our application servers.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a buyer if the business is sold, under the same protections.

5Where it’s processed

Some of these providers process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law recognises, such as adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

6How long we keep it

  • Account and projects: for as long as your account is open. When you ask us to delete the account, we remove them within 30 days.
  • Billing records: six years, as UK tax and company law requires.
  • Request logs: up to 30 days.
  • Usage records: up to 24 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
  • Partner records: for the life of the partnership and six years after, because they’re financial records.
  • Backups roll off within 30 days of deletion.

7Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your account and data;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including anything based on legitimate interest;
  • send your data to you or another service in a portable form.

Email support@screenmake.com from the address on your account. We reply within one month, and it’s free.

If you’re unhappy with our answer you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. If you live in the EEA, you can also go to your local data protection authority.

8Cookies

We use only what the product needs:

  • A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in.
  • A referral cookie, set only if you arrive through a partner’s link. It remembers which partner sent you for 60 days, so they’re credited and your discount is applied. It holds the partner’s name and the time, nothing about you.
  • Settings saved in your browser, such as light or dark mode, and your cookie choice.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, only on our website and only if you accept them. They help us see how people find and use ScreenMake.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We set no advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.

9Security

Connections are encrypted, access to your projects is limited to your account, and secrets such as App Store Connect keys are encrypted before they’re stored. No system is perfectly secure; if something happens that puts your data at risk, we’ll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

10Children

ScreenMake is for people building and marketing apps. It isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has made an account, tell us and we’ll remove it.

11Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
